Up for consideration is this incredible Art Deco timepiece that still winds and keeps time perfectly. Empire is the flagship product of Seikosha (modern day Seiko) in Japan, manufactured between 1908 and 1934 and delivering quality and levels of performance rarely attained for mass-produced pocket watches of the time, and this is no more evident than in the functionality and condition of this piece. Case measures 0.88 in length and width. Includes a bail at the 6 hour marker for ease of lifting to the wearer's face. White dial is clean with gold numerical hour markers. Matching 12kt gold filled chain is thick and sturdy. There is some rubbing to case rear but at around 90-100 years old, is much less than what one might expect. Crystal is lightly smudged/dingy around upper left corner but is uncracked and whole. Clasp functions perfectly. Please see photos for additional measurements in inches.
